The IASME Cyber Assurance standard remains the only cyber security certification scheme designed to be affordable and achievable for small organisations.
IASME Cyber Assurance is a comprehensive, flexible, and affordable cyber security standard that confirms an organisation has put in place key cyber security, privacy, and data protection measures. It aligns with the UK Government's 10 Steps to Cyber Security framework, with added Data Privacy controls.
It gives smaller supply chain companies a proportionate way to demonstrate their information security posture at a realistic cost.
The update was driven by a need to keep the standard relevant amid recent technological shifts — including migration from on-premises infrastructure to cloud environments, the growth of remote working, and wider use of mobile and personally owned devices.
The renaming aims to better communicate what certification actually means to an organisation and its supply chain partners.
